Kenth Andersson a tall soft spoken Swedish man from a small village Rörström. Growing up as a foster child he took to drawing and sewing instead of playing sports like most children did at his age, but his ability to draw and sew indeed paid off for him. Kenth presumed to study decorating and mastered it. He then moved to Gothenburg where he yearned to expand his education in design and advertising at the School of Industrial Art, and It wasn't long before he was employed and working consistently for an exclusive department store NK as a coordinator in charge of fashion shows.Just by knowing the right people he was able to get his foot in the door, and Swedish Consul General's wife, Eva Thorén was the first to guide him; by arranging a fashion show that was successful at the Swedish Consulate for a international gathering. Their he stumbled into Ulla Manzini, a highly known fitting model for productions in NY. She automatically fall in love with Andersson's designs and immediately recommended him to a Japanese agency looking for new designers. The agency typically favored his work over DKNY(Donna Karen New York) and Ralph Lauren. Then in 1980 He finally moved to New York, and as been there over 7 years. He established his headquarters in New York's fashion district in 1991, and later in 2001 he expanded into retail market. His designs are known for his signature touch of adding one or more miniature crowns, and tiny symbols of Sweden's monarchy. His designs are simple, but luxurious all in one and also ready to wear. Celebrities such as Sharon stone, Vanessa Williams and Celeste Holm have been spotted with his designs on as well.
